Meet Our Centre Director

Meet Hana Simes, Hessel Children’s Centre Director who leads our team of early childhood educators. She is passionately committed to supporting families and children to be the best they can be.

Centre Staff

We cannot wait for you to meet our team of passionate, insipring and knowledgeable educators. Our team are dedicated to providing  exceptional care and education for every child in a safe and dynamic environment.

Our educators are highly skilled and supported with ongoing development opportunities to ensure the best possible outcome for each child, each carrying a minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care (CHC30113)

Each room has a Team Leader who holds a Diploma in Children’s Services or a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood).

Tristin
Assistant Director | Pre-Kindy Lead Educator
Tristin has 5 years experience in Early Childhood and 2 years management experience. Tristin is passionate about creating inclusive and safe environments for all children to learn and grow, with a focus on supporting children with additional needs.
Naomi
Early Childhood Teacher & Educational Leader
Naomi has worked with children and families in a variety of settings over the last 15 years. She is passionate about building relationships with children and families built on trust, respect and open and honest communication.
Nina
Baby Room Lead Educator
Nina has more than five years experience in early childhood education and care. She is passionate about providing a safe and nurturing environment and supporting children in their growth and development. Nina believes in the power of play and in particular the use of loose parts to stimulate exploration and creativity in our littlest learners.
Mel
Toddler Room Lead Educator
Mel has eight years experience in Early Childhood Education and is warm, nurturing and passionate about providing a sense of belonging for children and their families. Mel partners with families to provide a gentle and supportive transition into care for both children and their families.
Renee
Toddler Room Educator
Renee completed her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care as a Year 12 VET student. She has recently started studying her Diploma as a workplace trainee. Renee is passionate about building secure relationships with children and families, and loves to set up inviting play spaces for the toddlers.
Kim
Baby Room Educator
Kim has 4 years experience in Early Childhood, working as both an educator and team leader. Kim is passionate about supporting families in their parenting role and providing individualised care to all children. She is also the master of sleep routines!
Megan
Baby Room Educator
Megan has a Bachelor of Education Studies and is working toward her Diploma of Early Education and Care. Megan is passionate about supporting the individual routines of babies and providing a calm, yet stimulating environment for our littlest learners. She loves finding new ways to support the development of babies and making her own unique learning resources.
Tigi
Wombat Room Educator
Naomi has worked with children and families in a variety of settings over the last 15 years. She is passionate about building relationships with children and families built on trust, respect and open and honest communication.
Nora
Wombat Room Educator
Despite only being here for such a short time, Nora has already formed strong attachments with children, families and staff. Nora has just completed her Certificate III and is keen to start her Diploma. Nora has always wanted to work in Early Childhood and is passionate about children’s development, learning through play and building relationships.
Cindy
Trainee
Cindy started volunteering in our centre a few months ago - and now she’s about to start a traineeship! Cindy has had many years experience in the aged care sector and recently decided to make the change to early years education. She loves creating thoughtful play spaces to inspire creativity and wonder, and re-using and recycling to create unique resources!
Jess
Wombat Room Educator
Jess holds a Diploma in Early Childhood, Education and Care and has 9 years of experience in childcare. She is passionate about recognising each child as a unique learner and providing individualised experiences to support each child to reach their potential.
Bonita
Educator
After moving to Australia from the UK and having a baby, Bonita began to realise just how important it is for families to feel connected to their community. Bonita decided she wanted to make a difference for children and families so her childcare journey began. Bonita is also passionate about holistic wellness, and is qualified in children's yoga, mindfulness and baby massage.
